Emotional and psychological traumas happen to everyone. It can be caused by a one time event, ongoing relentless stress or commonly overlooked events such as break-up/divorce, surgery, humiliating or disappointing experience. Working through trauma alone is daunting, lonely, re-traumatizing. A trauma specialist can help with your healing.
Dr. Rances has nearly 20 years of experience treating patients with a wide variety of painful conditions. He initially studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and enjoyed seeing the positive results of acupuncture for many years. However, he knew that if he could combine the advancements of Western Medicine with more traditional approaches to health, patients would truly benefit. Putting his acupuncture practice aside, he applied to medical school and was accepted at the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine where he learned how Osteopathic Principles can treat pain. Realizing that one size does not fit all, Dr. Rances believes in an individualized approach to treating complex pain disorders. He has a special interest in interventional techniques that minimize the use of opioids. This includes novel therapies such as Platelet Rich Plasma and Stem Cell injections that show promise in advancing health and healing.
